Design Process
Whether we're designing a publication for print or for the Web, our approach is consistent and focused on providing clear, meaningful information to your customers. Communicating the most important information with simple, yet elegant presentation is our key design principle.
1. Discuss Your Business Objectives
What are your business goals? What do you want your customers to know about you? These are key pieces of information that will shape your print and online publications. We'll start here to understand your goals and needs, and focus the rest of the process on creating the materials that deliver the message.
2. Organize Content
We'll work with you to structure and organize your information in a way that makes your business services obvious and easy to find. There should be no mistake about what you can do for your customers.
3. Visual Design
Presentation of information is crucial. Print publications must grab the reader's attention and make the important points immediately clear and visible. A Web site must be well-organized, easy to use, and fast. Visitors won't return if they can't find what they need quickly.
4. Finalize Design Concepts
We'll create and review our initial design concepts with you. Based on your feedback we'll make adjustments and arrive at a final design.
5. Create Your Materials
When we agree on the design, the next step is to create your actual print publications and/or Web site. We will keep you informed of our progress every step of the way and provide you with plenty of review opportunities.
6. Proofing and Delivery
For printed materials, our normal process is to provide a PDF version for you to review and approve before sending to the printer. Your Web site will be tested in popular browsers and published to a test server for your approval before making it available publicly.
7. Ongoing Maintenance
We have several options for keeping your Web site fresh with new content as well as keeping an eye on your search engine ranking. It is critical to keep your online presence full of current information to realize its potential. For print publications, we also recommend a regular schedule of mailings to your customer base.
